Happy Birthday to Us!

The past year has been a whirlwind and we're excited to be a part of the thriving local food movement in Raleigh. Please come celebrate our First Anniversary with us this week, Wednesday May 4th -- We'll be serving up half-priced beer, wine and cocktails all day and everyone who dines with us gets a special treat!

The celebration will continue into Thursday, May 5th, where we extend the same drink specials in celebration of Cinco de Mayo.

New Spring Menu!

With Spring in full swing, we've updated our lunch and diner menus. Chef has brought back some favorites from last year and added some new options that are already getting some glowing reviews. Check them out here.

 

First Friday and Mother's Day

This weekend is First Friday and we will be featuring a special exhibit by photographer Rani Urabi Mustafa of Eleven13Productions. Rani has selected Chef Chad and Market as a focal point of his latest work to showcase his efforts, Market, and a few of the local farms and farmers we rely on.

Show mom some love this Sunday, May 8th, at our Mother's Day Brunch, while doing good for the community. We've teamed up with Advocates for Heath in Action and Farm it Forward to benefit families in Wake County needing access to healthy, local produce. Sales of our Strawberry Mint Julep and Farm it Forward Frittata will go towards this excellent initiative!

Edible Piedmont readers recently voted Chef Chad as one of their Local Heroes in the Spring 2011 Issue

 

The annual Best of Downtowner Awards is out for 2011 and we are extremely appreciative to have been recognized in five categories... Thanks to everyone who voted!

 

  • Champion of Local Ingredients – 1st Place
  • Greenest Business - 1st Place
  • New Restaurant - 3rd Place
  • Best Healthy Menu – 3rd Place
  • Best Vegetarian Menu – 3rd Place

 


Finally, we are very pleased to have been named a finalist in the Best Dish in North Carolina for casual dining. Judging will be over the next few months, with winners announced in November. The dish will be served from 5/9-6/13 and more details can be found online here.
